Hey all! Bryce here, with some pretty amazing news and data for you.

THE BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE

While final details are still being ironed out (meaning I can't tell you everything about the campaign just yet), I'm SO excited to announce the BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE, the first opportunity for ERAGON fans to have their name inside a WORLD OF ERAGON project.

When Wraithmarked announced what the tariffs might be costing us, so many of you across Kickstarter and Reddit asked how you could help. A lot of people asked to donate to help support, but we didn't want to take more money without giving something back.

So instead... we asked Christopher and his team for permission to license this very special project. Again, this is the first ever opportunity for INHERITANCE CYCLE fans to have their name inside a WORLD OF ERAGON project.

SOME DETAILS:

Again, a lot of stuff is still being massaged together, but THE BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE will contain canon, in-world material written by Christopher, similar to what he’s produced for various special editions. In addition to an intro and outro, he has written introductions and overviews of seven of the major battles throughout the history of Alagaësia. These essays appear as excerpts of various writings from the world itself, collected in a physical book as a project of the Arcaenist Brother Hern (the reason for which you’ll find out in the book itself). And accompanying these excerpts will be—drumroll please—a non-canon list of the names of the fallen warriors, soldiers, and officers from all seven of the battles.

And whose names exactly will be on those list?

Yours. Written both in English and in the Ullmark, the human runes of Alagaësia, and forever immortalized in this amazing artifact.

With permission from Christopher and his team, Wraithmarked has been granted the incredible opportunity to make this list of fallen combatants entirely from the names of our project Backers. There will be a simple $10 pledge to just get your name in the book, and then several pledges higher than that which will not only get your name in the book at higher and higher military ranks, but also get you the physical books as well!

The book will be bound in leatherette, with a gold foil stamping design, and feature end sheets and illustrations completely unique to this project. We've already started collecting some for the purposes of the campaign:

While the interior illustrations are still being decided on, we do know that there will be at least one illustration per battle depicting the fighting, and there will also be limited slots to have your own custom-illustrated portrait added to the book as one of the highest ranking officers on the field of each battle.

One note, y'all: it is very important for me to highlight that your names will not be canon in the world of Alagaësia. As much as we would have liked to make it happen, inserting modern names into the world would have been very problematic for any number of reasons, and "Alagaës-ifying" all of them would have been such a massive undertaking (making the changes, getting them approved, making sure we got them right in the book, etc.) that it just wouldn't be feasible. However, they will forever and always be an official part of an official WORLD OF ERAGON project, for the first and possibly only time.

Additionally, while Christopher will be signing each book and will provide lore for each of the battles, I have to highlight that this, like Saphira, is a Wraithmarked Creative endeavor, not a Christopher Paolini one. Christopher will have a hand in every part of the design, artist selection, etc., but at the end of the day final responsibility for the project and product is Wraithmarked Creative's responsibility, just like it is for the Saphira model.

WHEN DOES IT LAUNCH?

We aren't 100% sure if it will be June or July 2025, but it will be the first Tuesday of one of those two months at 9am EST.

You can sign up for a pre-launch reminder right now!

WHAT IF YOU RAISE MORE THAN YOU NEED TO COVER TARIFFS?

With the tariff situation being a constantly shifting thing, this is a great question, and a perfectly reasonable thing to be worried about. IF we end up profiting more than we need off of this BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE campaign, those funds are going to be allocated towards an extremely cool future WORLD OF ERAGON project we wanted to start developing earlier this year, but didn't have the funds to do so due to its massive overhead cost (like... massive). Any additional profit we end up not needing would go towards developing that project, and while I can't tell you what it is, I can tell you it involves a lot (a LOT) of art and illustration. It's my favorite idea we've had so far, and I hope we get to do it one day regardless!

POLL RESULTS

This project only came about with your support and feedback. Last week, after people asked for some way to support us after we announced the toll the tariffs could be taking on Wraithmarked, I put out a poll asking Backers of the Saphira statue if they would approve of a second campaign like this, creating a product Wraithmarked was more familiar with. We said we wouldn't even consider the project if less than 67% of you approved. To tell you the truth, with the outpouring of earlier support we expected we'd hit that number.

We did NOT expect more than 95% of you to approve, which is what happened.

SEE THE RESULTS FOR YOURSELF HERE

Poll Results

With just shy of 4000 responses (over 40% of Backers, which is an INSANE participation rate), over 95% of you told us to do the project. Another 2.6% didn't have an opinion on it either way. We took this data to Christopher and his team, and it was a large part of them giving us the thumbs up and license to do this project.

For those of you who replied "No", we see you and we hear your concerns. Running a second project for a brand before the first is fulfilled is never something we wanted to do, nor did we plan on doing it until the community asked for some method by which to support us. Please be aware that if you don't support the BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE, your Saphira statue pledge will not be negatively effected in any way! Hell, if for some reason the BOOK doesn't fund (we don't expect it to be an issue) nothing will change. While Saphira may need to be delayed until the trade war resolves, she will and was always going to be fulfilled. She's already in production with some cool new Updates coming in the coming months!

Regardless of how you voted, thank you all so, so much for your support!

Tariffs will NOT cost you guys more! But... PLEASE READ.
12 months ago – Mon, Apr 21, 2025 at 06:27:31 AM

Hey gang, Bryce here. This is going to be a quick one because I want everyone to be able to read it in 2min. More information to come in the future.

Saphira and her accessories are, like 99% of the products like her, being produced in China. While Wraithmarked produces all of its books and paper products in the US and UK, producing Saphira anywhere but China would have made her cost $150-200 for the same product. With tariffs on Chinese products to us here in the US currently abruptly rising to 150%+, we need you to know several things.

FIRST: Wraithmarked will not be adding a post-campaign "tariff" fee. We know others are doing it, but don't believe in surprising our customers with additional costs like that.

SECOND: However... we may have to make some other hard decisions, with your feedback. Saphira was already a low-profit project because we wanted to make her as accessible to Christopher's audience as possible, and these tariffs are currently looking like they are going to cost us a surprise $400k USD. That... massively puts Wraithmarked in the red on this project.

We are actively discussing options with Christopher and his team, and we ask for your patience while we figure things out. But now, Saphira will NOT cost any of you more than you've already paid.

As always, you guys are amazing.
- Bryce

TLDR: Current tariffs will cost Wraithmarked an extra $400k+ on this project that we were not expecting. We are figuring out how to tank that, but we will NOT be passing that cost off on you guys.

A look at the final version of the Armored Saphira Bust!
12 months ago – Fri, Apr 18, 2025 at 05:34:02 AM

Hey everyone!

Quick update for everyone today! While we're getting to work on the early phases of production, we wanted to take a moment to give y'all a glimpse of the final version of the Armored Saphira Bust. Take a look!

Final production quote (for the statue) has been locked in!
about 1 year ago – Thu, Apr 03, 2025 at 05:52:18 AM

Hi all! Bryce here with some hefty news!

As of yesterday, April 2nd, we've officially locked in our quote with our production partner for the statues! We still have to do the same for the bust, but given that the statue is the big swinger on this project we wanted to make sure that ball was rolling asap!

One thing to highlight is the unit numbers: At the end of February when we pulled the statue from the late pledge store, our count was just a little shy of 11k units pledged for. On books we would do a 10% safety overage (for damaged stock, damaged in shipping, etc), but our partner could only increase the unit productions for a project this size by 1000 units at a time, so we took the safe route and ordered 13000 units. Given that this statues will never be produced again, we decided it was the safe direction to go since I would rather end up with an extra 500-1000 units rather than have to disappoint even 200 of you by not having enough undamaged units for any reason.

That DOES mean we should have a small supply of statues left over to be sold off once fulfillment is completed for your pledged rewards! So if you have friends who are bummed they missed one, you can let them know to keep an eye out next year for what is probably going to be brief availability period.

Let me know if you have any questions!
